About Lia

Hi, I’m glad that you stopped by!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Colorado and I have nearly a decade of experience supporting individuals with a variety of mental health challenges in diverse settings, including higher education, private practice, crisis/help lines, shelters, and hospitals. I am also a 200-hour certified yoga teacher with additional training in Trauma-Informed Yoga.

I received my Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, where I studied psychology, creative writing, and dance. I went on to receive my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in New York City. After many exciting years in New York, I am happy to have made my home in beautiful Colorado.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, I am the daughter of artists and was fortunate to grow up in a climate where creativity was an integral part of life, not a luxury. My work within the mental health field, however, brought to light that the creative parts of ourselves are often pushed aside when they are needed the most.

Dealing with hardship, suffering, or any type of transition in a meaningful way calls on us to be creative. Finding a therapist who is the right fit for you can foster a safe, encouraging, and nurturing space to expand your sense of possibility and agency. I am grateful and thrilled to doing this work, and look forward to getting to know you.
